Specsavers Hangar Ball 2024

Tickets are now available for the Specsavers Hangar Ball 2024, make sure you don't miss out!

I’ve been to the Hangar Ball for the last 3 years, and it’s genuinely one of my favourite nights of the year.  If you’re looking for a fun night out with friends, then I highly recommend it.  If you’ve not been to the Hangar Ball before, read on for all the details…

Helping Guernsey celebrate its liberation from the occupying German forces, the Specsavers Hangar Ball is an opportunity to remember loved ones lost, reminisce and celebrate freedom (whilst doing a lot of flag waving!).

It is held in the Sir John Loveridge Hall at Beau Sejour and Specsavers totally transform the space with giant flags, massive TV screens with historic footage, rows of tables, a large stage and dance floor.

There are 2 chances to attend the Specsavers Hangar Ball this year, from 7:30pm to midnight on both nights;
Friday 10th May
Saturday 11th May

All tickets are £55 each, or £660 for a table of 12.

Welcome to the 1940s!

Amazing fancy dress at the Hangar Ball 2023

1940s fancy dress is a must at the Specsavers Hangar Ball and the more imaginative the better. Every year we say we’re going to think up a theme in the hope of winning a free table of 12 for next year, but we’ve never actually managed it!  We love seeing the ones who have gone all out each year.

1940s Entertainment...

The evening is jam-packed with 1940s style entertainment, hosted by Rob Rinder MBE and featuring the award-winning (and Michael Bublé endorsed) mini big band, Down for the Count, and the return of the ever popular Bluebird Belles.  We’ve seen Rob Rinder host the event previously, he was fantastic and a lot of fun.

New caterer for 2024!

In keeping with the 1940s theme, ration food is on the menu at the Hangar Ball (jacket potato, beef stew/bean jar, bread and butter). Those who attended the event last year will know that the food was an area of contention.  As a result, Specsavers has chosen a new caterer (Farmhouse Events) whose leadership team have successfully managed the Hangar Ball catering for many years in the past, so they are confident we’ll all be happily tucking into our ration food on the night.
