Val Des Terres Everest Challenge 2021
The Sarah Groves Foundation (SGF) is proud to announce the Val des Terres Everest Challenge 2021.
The great mountain stands at an impressive 8848 metres above sea level, making it the highest point on planet Earth. To amass that elevation, participants must climb Guernsey’s most challenging hill, traversing this a mightily impressive 115 times in total, over the period of 30 days. The challenge begins on 1st January and all single or team entrants can start anytime in January. The event culminates at the end of February.
The SGF will be supporting the Guernsey Sports Commission and the Guernsey Youth Commission, two fantastic charities which both fall in line with the Foundation’s Mission Statement of supporting the youth and giving opportunity to all.
The circuit is as follows: climb Le Val des Terres, turn right at the summit to go down George Road, turn right opposite the Dorset Arms, and proceed to the base at the bottom of Havelet. This is then repeated 115 times (in either direction) in the allocated 30 days. CLICK HERE for more info.
