HISTORYFEST at Castle Cornet

Head to Castle Cornet for extra activities to mark the first weekend of the new Castle season. Open 10am to 5pm both days and free with your Discovery Pass.

Timetable for both days;

·       Noon day ceremony at 12.00, followed by Living History shows

·       Meet the Guernsey Military History Company. Discover the mundane & everyday life of soldiers during the Castle’s history. Look out for their bell tents around the Castle.

·       Craft Room open. Use pressed plants to make beautiful bookmarks & spinners in the Amherst Room.

·       Learn a historical board game. Find these in the citadel at the top of the Castle.

·       Meet the blacksmith.  Learn how a hand-powered forge works (Town Bastion).

·       Castle Characters trail.  Pick up a trail from the shop.

·       Meet the Spinners & Weavers.  Find them in the Story Museum (afternoons only).

South Battery is our designated Quiet Space for the weekend, where no events are planned.
