Smile for Georgie Walk / Cycle Treasure Hunt
The 10 sMile Treasure Hunt!
The Smile for Georgie Foundation have organised a circular walking and cycling treasure hunt for the final two weeks of August to encourage islanders to explore Guernsey during its prime summer season.
Families and groups of friends can take to the lanes any time between 15 and 31 August and can start from one of six points – La Villette, La Barbarie, Les Douvres, The Last Post, The Farmhouse and Le Gouffre.
The hunt can be completed in stages and is free but collection boxes are available at each starting point for donations.
There will be 30 questions to answer en-route and only those who answer all 30 correctly will be eligible to win the £100 prize, which will be drawn by the charity’s trustees on 1 September.
“We’ve all had quite a tough year and with most people having to remain on the island this summer we wanted to offer an event that everyone can enjoy and put a twist on our usual outdoor exercise routines,”
“The hunt is designed for people to either walk or cycle and the route takes in some of the most beautiful parts of the island. Why not make a day of it and stop off in some of the islands favourite local eateries along the way” said Jenny Le Prevost, Founder Trustee.
