Kings is Guernsey’s premier health club which strives to be more than just a gym and more than just a health club and the great thing for families, is that it is very family friendly and committed to providing a great offering for kids.
The team at Kings is passionate about providing their members with a premier club experience, offering a rounded approach to health and well-being. They offer top-of-the range equipment and cutting edge technology, from the stunning group exercise and gym facilities, to tennis and squash courts, indoor and outdoor pools and their on-site clubroom and spa, there is something for all the family.
A little known fact is that Kings is the second oldest tennis club in the world and has been a centre for Guernsey sport for more than one hundred and fifty years!
Kings is passionate about enabling families to stay active and spend time together and in order to enhance their offering for families, they hired renowned Guernsey tennis player and coach Rob West to lead the way.
The new Kids@Kings studios opened early 2022 and have been designed with their own child-friendly toilets and nappy changing facilities, soft child-friendly floors and the latest lighting and video projection…
The Kids@Kings programme includes tennis and swimming lessons, dance classes, teen boot camp, holiday camps, kids parties, movie nights and the exciting new Early Learning offer, featuring two new classes of Sensory Magical Fun (babies) and Sensory Family Fun (crawling and toddlers) that will be completely unique to Guernsey. To be followed by Baby Massage and Baby Yoga classes! And for those 14yrs and over, they can even use the Gym independently and join the majority of group classes, including some Spin classes, and Synrgy.

Swimming Lessons
As well as teaching children who have never learned to swim, Kings’ group lessons also help more confident swimmers to improve their technique and stroke. Building confidence and ability in and around water is an essential skill, particularly when you live on an island. As water sports become increasingly popular, these lessons will, in turn, open up a new world of possibilities to enjoy.

Family-Friendly Swimming
Children can swim at any time in the 20m outdoor pool during opening hours and during family-friendly swimming times in the indoor pool.
Family-Friendly Swimming Times (Indoor Pool Only)
Monday – Thursday 10:30am to 5pm
Friday 10:30am to 6pm
Saturday and Sunday 11:30am to 6pm
Junior Tennis (4yrs+)
Rob West and his team will cater for every child and help to bring out their best in a safe, secure environment. The LTA Youth programme is designed to grow as your child does. Smaller courts and softer balls develop into the real deal as they pick up all the skills and know-how they need to enjoy tennis for life.
Sessions take place throughout the week and are allocated according to ability and age. Please email the Kids@Kings team for a current schedule and prices.
Born to Move (2-3yrs)
The popular Les Mills Born to Move classes are FREE for younger members. The aim of these music and movement classes is to create positive attitudes towards physical activity that will last a lifetime.
Kids Camp (5-13yrs)
Swimming, tennis, martial arts, dance, arts and crafts and much more are available at the Kings summer camp, all under one roof! With full day or morning only options available in a safe and secure environment. It’s a great way for kids to try new activities, under highly trained leadership, during the school holidays. Available to members and non-members.

Kids@Kings Movie Nights provide a welcoming, fun and social environment for kids to enjoy a good movie suitable for their age while parents and carers are enjoying some leisure time of their own. Movie nights are free for members.

Then look no further than the Kings Creche (available to members only) set within their beautiful purpose built nursery which is run and managed by the island’s leading children’s day nursery, Monkey Puzzle. Whether you fancy a class, session in the gym or simply time out to enjoy a delicious coffee in the club room, you can relax with the knowledge that your children are being professionally cared for and are having fun! It’s so reasonably priced that I would have jumped at the chance to do this when my girls were young!
