A walk from Portelet Kiosk to the Table Des Pions…or the Fairy Ring. With a picture treasure hunt along the way and stories about local folklore, the Hanois Lighthouse and a visit to Fort Pezeries, there is something for everyone. The walk ends with a “Bring Your Own” picnic at the Table Des Pions.
We really enjoy a stop-off at Vale Castle because, for the kids, it’s a real life castle play area!
Castle Cornet is a must for families, with dressing up for kids, the firing of the noon-day gun, endless places to discover and cannons around every corner!
Saumarez Park is the largest park in Guernsey and our favourite for combining bike riding, feeding ducks, climbing trees and playing in the playground.
Fermain Bay is one of few pebble beaches in Guernsey, and for us that’s a blessing, as picnics on pebble beaches mean no sand in the food! This stunning beach is nestled in the picturesque Fermain Valley and is well worth a visit whilst in Guernsey.
