Guernsey Halls to Hire for Kid’s Parties

I’m sure most parents will agree that looking for a hall to hire for a children’s party can be a daunting task, so we’ve pulled together all the info into one place, to hopefully make it much easier for you. The halls that are suitable for children’s parties are listed below with address, hire price, hire details, contact details and whether bouncy castles are permitted. The halls have been split into parishes and listed in alphabetical order.

Please note that the hire prices are correct as of March 2022, however, they are subject to change, so you must contact the hall directly to confirm the price and availability.

Castel

Castel Douzaine Room

Address: La Chambre de la Douzaine, Les Beaucamps, Castel, GY5 7PE
Hall Hire Cost: £60 for 4 hours hire.
Hire Details: Charges are per session: (A) 8am to 12pm, (B) 1pm to 5pm, (C) 6pm to 10 pm. Hire cost includes use of a kitchen.
Info: Recently refurbished hall with kitchen and toilet facilities. There is also a lovely grassed outdoor space.
Bouncy Castle Size: Bouncy castles are unfortunately not permitted indoors.

Cobo Community Centre

Address: Le Guet, Rue de la Lande, Castel, Guernsey, GY5 7EJ
Hall Hire Cost: £75 per session for either hall 1 (8.5 m x 8.5m) or hall 2 (8.5 m x 11m). £110 to hire both halls 1 and 2 and kitchen.
Hire Details: Bookings for parties are taken on Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons only. Use of the kitchen and adult and children’s tables and chairs are included in the hire price.
Info: A purpose built community centre offering various rooms of different sizes available for children’s parties, activities and events. Kitchen and toilet facilities available.
Bouncy Castle Size: Toddler and low height bouncy castles in hall 2.

KGV Memorial Playing Fields

Address: KGV Playing Fields, Rue Cohu, Castel, Guernsey, GY5 7SZ
Hall Hire Cost: The Spensley Room is £65 for 3 hours hire. The Lansdown Room is £50 for 3 hours hire. Both rooms cost £100 to hire together. Football parties on 3G pitch are £50 per hour. Option to hire Lansdown room after football party for food.
Info: 2 rooms to hire, The Spensley Room offers a large space suitable for up to 100 people with small outdoor terrace included. The Lansdown Room is suitable for parties of up to 45 people. Tables and chairs included in hire cost. Alternatively, the playing fields offer plenty of space for an outdoor party. Party food menus available or you may bring your own food.
Bouncy Castle Size: Small height bouncy castle will fit in The Spensley Room and any bouncy castle outside.

Vazon Elim Community Hall

Hall Hire Cost: £50 for 3 hours hire
Hire Details: Hire cost includes use of kitchen, table and chairs. All rubbish and recycling needs to be taken with you at the end of the hire.
Info: The Community Hall is adjacent to the Vazon Elim Church. A nice room with a wooden floor, kitchen facilities and plenty of parking.

Forest

Forest Methodist Church Hall

Hire Details: Hire includes the use of the kitchen, table and chairs. Very flexible in terms of timings, could be morning hire, afternoon hire etc.
Info: Hall with wooden floor, kitchen, toilets and plenty of parking.

St Martin's

St Martin’s Community Centre

Address: La Rue Maze, St Martin’s, Guernsey, GY4 6LL
Hall Hire Cost: Main hall is £90 for 4 hours hire, plus £15 if using the cookers in the kitchen. Contact directly for options for smaller parties.
Hire Details: Hire cost includes the use of tables and chairs.
Info: St Martin’s Community Centre (Professor Shaw Community Centre) offers various spaces available to hire for children’s parties. The large main hall can be split into two smaller rooms and has a large kitchen adjoining it. There is also a lovely room upstairs with a small kitchen, ideal for smaller parties.

St Martin’s Parish Hall

Info: Large hall with wooden floor and a very high ceiling. Furniture, kitchen and toilet facilities all available and onsite parking.

St Peters

St Peters Community Hall

Address: Les Buttes, St Pierre du Bois, Guernsey, GY7 9SD
Hall Hire Cost: £20 per session (morning, afternoon or evening)
Hire Details: Hire cost includes use of tables and chairs and a small kitchen area (no cooking facilities). Heating is via electric meters that take £1 and £2 coins. Note that glitter is not permitted in the hall.
Info: Carpeted hall situated next to St Peters Post Office. With plenty of parking and use of a small kitchen area.

Styx Centre

Address: Rue de Longfrie, St Peters GY7 9RZ
Hall Hire Cost: £80 for 3 hours hire (£25 for an extra hour) or £55 for 2 hours hire (£12.50 for extra 30mins).
Hire Details: Cost includes use of Sports Hall, Maple Room and kitchen.
Info: Large sports hall with very high ceiling (allowing high bouncy castles) and separate Maple Room which has a kitchen off it. Also benefits from an outdoor play area. There is limited parking around the Styx building, with additional parking available at St Peter’s Church, Le Longfrie Inn (by kind permission of the landlord) and roadside.

St Peter Port

Kids@Kings Studios

Hire Details: Cost includes use of tables and chairs, stage, sound system and lighting (perfect for disco).
Info: 2 new studios on offer with state of the art sound system and lighting. Party food can be ordered from King’s new 1857 Sports Lounge & Bistro.

Rohais Badminton Halls

Address: The Rohais, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 1YP
Hall Hire Cost: £75 for 3 hours, £10 for each additional hour
Hire Details: Cost includes use of the bar/cafe area. 3 hours minimum hire.
Info: Large lower hall (3 badminton courts) available to hire for parties with a wooden floor. With kitchen and lounge area, toilets and plenty of parking.

St John’s Ambulance Hall

Hall Hire Cost: £75 for 3 hours and £25 per hour thereafter.
Hire Details: Use of a full commercial kitchen is included in the hire charge, along with tables and chairs.
Info: The training hall at St John’s Ambulance offers a large wooden floor space suitable for children’s parties. A large kitchen and toilet facilities are also available.

St John’s Church Hall

Info: The hall has a wooden floor, kitchen facilities and a separate room for serving food. Parking is available.

St Stephen’s Community Centre

Hall Hire Cost: £21 per hour (with 30 mins free of charge for set up and clear away)
Hire Details: Includes use of the kitchen and tables and chairs (padded chairs for adults and small plastic chairs for kids). There is also a stage at one end of the hall that can be used.
Info: Offers a large wooden floored hall with a stage at one end and adjoining kitchen facilities.

Wesley Methodist Church Hall

Hall Hire Cost: £30 plus £10 refundable deposit if the hall is left in the condition it was found.
Hire Details: The hall can be booked for parties on Saturday afternoon only. Hire charge includes use of tables and chairs and a kitchen.
Info: Large hall with a wooden floor and high ceilings and kitchen facilities. There is a dedicated parking area up the road from the hall.

St Sampson

Capelles Community Centre

Hire Details: The hire price is for a session (either morning, afternoon or evening). Hire of the main hall includes use of the kitchen. The small room has use of a kitchenette. Tables and chairs are included in the hire price.
Info: Offers a large main hall with a wooden floor and a kitchen, and a smaller room for smaller parties. Plenty of parking is available on-site or at the adjoining Capelles school car park.

St Saviour

St Saviour’s Community Centre

Hire Details: Hire cost includes use of kitchen and table and chairs (adult sized).
Info: 4 rooms available for hire: Sark, the large hall, Herm and Jethou which are smaller halls with a divider that can be opened up to make a large room and Lihou, a small room. There is also a lovely outside space for garden parties. Kitchen and toilet facilities are available and plenty of on-site parking.
Bouncy Castle Size: Medium height bouncy castles will fit in the Herm and Jethou rooms when they are combined. Low height castles will fit in the Sark room. All size bouncy castles can be used outside.

Info: A lovely little venue for a small children’s party (circa 10 children) located in the grounds of Vale Church. Has a small kitchen (no oven), toilet facilities and parking.

La Moye Chapel Hall (North Youth Centre)

Info: The Youth Commission’s North Youth Centre is a great space to hire for a party. With large hall with wooden floor, kitchen, coffee bar area with pool table, air hockey and table football, enclosed outside decking area and parking.
