Victor Hugo Inspired Botany Walk – Juniors
La Société’s Education Team are delighted to offer our Juniors a wildflower walk in collaboration with The Victor Hugo in Guernsey Society.
In celebration of both Victor Hugo and botany, Raymond Evison OBE will be leading a walk along the cliffs at Moulin Huet, pointing out the native wildflowers that inspired Victor Hugo’s writings. We will discuss how the island’s cliffs and coves served as inspiration for many of Hugo’s works, as well as Pierre-Auguste Renoir. We will finish the event with an opportunity for children to create their own work inspired by this landscape.
The event will start at 13:30, meeting in the Moulin Huet carpark, walking along the cliffs and finishing on the beach where we will invite the children to share some light refreshments in celebration of Hugo’s favourite picnic spot. The event will finish at 15:00.
To register for this event, please contact Becky Ogier at ecl@societe.org.gg with children’s names and ages.
