Guernsey Museum at Candie Time Warp 2023 Launch

The Discovery Room, within the Guernsey Museum of Candie, is a space dedicated to hands-on learning; visitors of all ages can enjoy retro games and traditional toys as well as check out our Cabinets of Curiosities for this year’s display. This room also features the Time Warp, which changes each year to a different time period or theme for immersive interactive play and learning and it’s time to reveal the 2023 Time Warp theme…‘A picnic with Renoir’. In September 1883 the French artist Renoir arrived in Guernsey and stayed for a little over a month.  He loved spending time at Moulin Huet and painted about 15 views of the area, including the cottage that features in the new Time Warp (the painting is ‘Brouillard à Guernesey’ (Fog in Guernsey) by Renoir).

The Time Warp area has been transformed into a cottage at Moulin Huet, with art supplies for children to get creative and lots of play food and equipment in the cottage for fun role play.
