Beaches

Saints Bay

Saints Bay

A pretty sandy cove with a shingle bank at the top of the beach. Nestled in the south coast cliffs, it’s a well sheltered spot with beautiful views. Lovely beach café but no parking close to the beach, so be prepared for a walk.

Rocquaine Bay

Rocquaine Bay

A vast sandy beach with beautiful views of the Cup and Saucer (Fort Grey). There are no facilities at the bay, however, the Guernsey Pearl café is behind the bay and Portelet kiosk is a short walk away.

GWK Portinfer

Portinfer Beach

For more experienced surfers, Portinfer is the beach for you, it can pick up more swell than at Vazon, however, in the summer it can get busy. This pretty secluded cove is just a stone’s throw from Port Soif beach and offers soft white sand, clear sea and great rock pools to explore.

GWK Port Grat Beach Guernsey

Port Grat Bay

A pretty horseshoe bay with soft white sand, clear water and rock pools to explore. Similar to Port Soif but, due to having limited parking and no facilities, it tends to be much quieter.

Marble Bay

Marble Bay

A small, secluded rocky cove with stunning views towards Herm and Sark. A trek down from the cliff path, however, for those that want to swim in crystal clear water without another soul and feel at one with nature, this is for you!

GWK Rousse

Le Grand Havre Bay

A wide bay encompassing a number of beaches: Rousse (great for swimming and has a fantastic kiosk), Le Picquerel (small sheltered sandy beach), Les Amarreurs (a picturesque small harbour with a playground behind the beach), Ladies Bay and Chouet (beautiful family-friendly beaches with great facilities).

La Jaonneuse Bay

La Jaonneuse Bay

A small cove located close to the much larger Pembroke Bay with soft sand, clear water and lots of rocks to explore as the tide goes out. The perfect spot for those wanting a more peaceful beach experience.

GWK La Jaonnet

Le Jaonnet

A remote sandy cove that you’ll more than likely have to yourself because it’s a trek to get to… 10mins off the Icart cliff path, then down 218 steps, then down a ladder to get to the beach. Not one for young kids!

GWK Chouet Beach

Chouet and Ladies Bay

The adjoining bays of Chouet and Ladies Bay offer soft white sand, crystal-clear water, rock climbing, rock pooling and excellent facilities. With arguably the best swimming on the west coast, it’s a great family beach choice.
