Braided in Guernsey is run by Dewi Clatworthy, who has a passion for gymnastics (she taught gymnastics in the Netherlands and teaches in Guernsey) and real passion for hair braiding. Having had a son, Dewi only had her own hair to braid, so she was overjoyed when she found out she was expecting a girl, however, her girl was born with no hair! Now her daughter is older, Dewi uses her daughter’s hair to perfect her intricate braiding patterns from hearts and criss-cross patterns to microbraids, with and without extensions!
Through Braided in Guernsey, Dewi is sharing her skill and knowledge in braiding through children’s parties, events, parent workshops and 1-2-1 teaching sessions.
Unique Parties
2 hours of hair braiding, where up to 11 children can have their hair braided during the party.
Do you want to learn how to braid hair like Dewi?
Dewi is keen to pass on her knowledge to parents and does this through 1-2-1 tutorials and hair braiding workshops. In the sessions Dewi teaches dutch braids, french braids, hairband braid, fishtail braid, she shares tips on how to part the hair, along with demonstrating 5 minute school hair ideas. Keep an eye on the Braided in Guernsey Facebook page where Dewi announces her workshop dates (usually once a month).
Sporting Braids
Dewi’s braids are great for athletes/sporting events as styles can last 2 weeks. Dewi has braided boxers and triathlete/marathon runners, and particularly enjoyed braiding this style for Sophie Veron, a GB paracycling athlete…
